Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you give us on this website and in the quiz — before you ever enter clinical care.
- What we collect on the site and in the quiz, and why.
- We use it to build your plan, improve the site, and — with your permission — contact you.
- Once you enter clinical care, your health information is governed by a separate Notice of Privacy Practices.
- Your choices: opt out of marketing, opt out of SMS, request your data, delete your data.
1 · Scope of this policy
This policy covers the website and everything before clinical care. Your health record is covered by a separate notice.
This Privacy Policy describes how Peptós.LIFE handles information collected through this website, the quiz, and our marketing — the data of visitors and prospective patients before a clinical relationship begins.
Once you enter clinical intake, your protected health information (PHI) — your evaluation, prescription, chart, and treatment — is held by the licensed clinical provider network and governed by a separate Notice of Privacy Practices, not by this policy.
We draw this line explicitly because the #1 point of confusion is assuming one document covers the other. It does not.
2 · Information we collect
Three buckets: what you give us, what's collected automatically, and what we receive from partners.
Information you give us
- Quiz answers (which may include health-adjacent inputs you provide before any clinical relationship exists)
- Name, email, phone number, ZIP code and state
- Anything you send us by email or web form
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information
- Cookies and similar technologies
- Analytics and usage data
- IP address and approximate location
Information from partners
- Advertising-platform click and conversion data
- Affiliate-partner referral tags
- Other service providers that help us run the site
Quiz answers collected before the clinical relationship are treated as website data under this policy — not as PHI. If and when you enter clinical care, the clinical entity's Notice of Privacy Practices governs your health record.
3 · How we use it
To build your plan, route you to the right care, message you about service, market to you with consent, prevent abuse, and improve the site.
- Personalize your plan and recommendations
- Route you to the appropriate funnel and clinical intake
- Send service and transactional messages
- Send marketing communications — only with your consent
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- Measure and improve the site through analytics
4 · SMS & text messaging (TCPA)
If you opt in to texts, here's what you're agreeing to — and consent is never a condition of purchase.
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages about your plan and (with separate consent) marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time.
Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving care.
Final TCPA consent language — exact opt-in wording, the consent checkbox copy, message-frequency disclosure, and the carrier/rate disclaimers — to be confirmed by counsel before any SMS consent is collected for real.
Dependency: a TCPA-compliant capture backend must be live before SMS consent is collected in production. SMS consent is not active on this site until that backend exists.
5 · Cookies & tracking
We use essential, analytics, and advertising cookies. You can control non-essential categories.
We use cookies and similar technologies in three categories:
- Essential — needed for the site to work; always on.
- Analytics — help us understand and improve the site.
- Advertising — measure campaigns and, where applicable, support ad targeting.
Where required, we present a consent mechanism and default to a privacy-preserving setting. You can change your choices at any time through the cookie controls.
Cookie banner / consent-management copy and the exact category definitions to be finalized with counsel alongside the CPRA determination in §6.
6 · Sharing & disclosure
We share with service providers, advertising/analytics partners, and where law or safety requires. We do not sell your personal information.
We share personal information with:
- Service providers who help us operate, including the OpenLoop provider network at the point of clinical handoff.
- Advertising and analytics partners, as described in the cookies section.
- Legal and safety recipients, where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect people.
We do not sell your personal information.
⚖️ Confirm this statement holds under CCPA/CPRA's broad "sale/share" definition given advertising-platform and affiliate cookie flows. If cookie-based ad sharing constitutes a "sale" or "share," add the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link and the required CPRA disclosures here.
7 · Your rights & choices
Access, delete, correct, and opt out. Some rights depend on your state.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, delete, correct, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. To exercise any of these, contact privacy@peptos.life.
Your privacy rights by state
Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, and a growing list of other states have specific rights. We honor verifiable requests as required by your state's law.
State-specific rights disclosures (CA/CPRA, VA, CO, and the current list of states with comprehensive privacy laws), the verification process, and any "Do Not Sell or Share" mechanism to be finalized by counsel.
8 · Retention, security, children, international & changes
How long we keep data, how we protect it, who can use the site, and how we tell you about changes.
Data-retention periods, security-program description, children's-data statement (this service is not directed to anyone under 18), international-transfer terms, and the change-notification process to be finalized by counsel.
This service is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Peptós.LIFE provides the website, your personalized plan, and non-clinical support. Clinical care — your evaluation, prescription, and ongoing treatment — is provided by licensed clinicians in an independent provider network. Medications are dispensed by licensed pharmacies. Billing is processed by [MERCHANT_OF_RECORD], the merchant of record. We coordinate these services so they feel like one experience; this section explains who is responsible for what.
